About The Position

This position is currently under review as part of the Public Assistance Field Services Study; therefore, the title and/or pay range currently assigned may be subject to change upon implementation of this class study. This position is open to current State of Alaska employees only. The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for full-time Eligibility Technician 4 located in Anchorage, Alaska. As an eligibility supervisor in the Department of Family and Community Services, you will be responsible for leading, supervising, and organizing a Team that provides Title IV-E and Medicaid eligibility determinations for children in custody of the state. You will be responsible for quality assurance, staff development, management, and ensuring overall accuracy and timeliness. This position works closely with a variety of units within the Division to develop and maintain a strong work force. Requirements

• Must be a current State of Alaska employee.
• Valid Alaska driver's license.
• Successful completion of a background investigation, including fingerprinting and a criminal records check.
• Child protective history check will be performed per AS 12.62.160 and/or 13 AAC 68.315 including a background and fingerprint check.
• One year of experience as an Eligibility Technician 2 with the State of Alaska or its equivalent with another employer and one year of lead or supervisory experience in any job; OR One year performing similar work that developed knowledge and skill in leading staff that apply program requirements while working with client customers in stressful situations.
• Current automotive insurance must be in place prior to use of a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the State.

• Post-secondary education in such fields as sociology, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, vocational rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, behavioral sciences, business, public administration, or accounting may substitute for the required experience (undergraduate credits: 2.67 semester/4 quarter hours = 1 month).
