About The Position

Las Vegas Urology is seeking an experienced Eligibility Specialist to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth patient experience by verifying insurance, processing referrals, and communicating patient financial responsibility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a keen eye for detail.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2-3 years of experience in insurance verification, authorizations, or claims
• Strong knowledge of healthcare/managed care
• Proficiency with MS Office and electronic health records
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Two years' medical authorization experience, preferably in a clinic setting.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits for new and existing patients
• Check daily physician schedules and communicate out-of-pocket costs
• Input referrals and notify patients of any issues or rescheduling needs
• Perform quality control checks on patient documentation
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
