About The Position

Las Vegas Urology is looking for an Eligibility Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring patients have a smooth experience by verifying insurance, processing referrals, and supporting front office staff in communicating patient responsibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2-3 years of experience in insurance verification, authorizations, or claims
• Strong knowledge of healthcare/managed care
• Proficiency with MS Office and electronic health records
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Requires sitting for periods of time.
• Some bending, lifting, and stretching required.
• Manual dexterity required for use of telephone and computer keyboard.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• Position requires the ability to work in stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

• Two years' medical authorization experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits for new and existing patients
• Check daily physician schedules and communicate out-of-pocket costs
• Input referrals and notify patients of any issues or rescheduling needs
• Perform quality control checks on patient documentation
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
