About The Position
Las Vegas Urology is looking for an Eligibility Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring patients have a smooth experience by verifying insurance, processing referrals, and supporting front office staff in communicating patient responsibility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2-3 years of experience in insurance verification, authorizations, or claims
- Strong knowledge of healthcare/managed care
- Proficiency with MS Office and electronic health records
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Responsibilities
- Verify insurance benefits for new and existing patients
- Check daily physician schedules and communicate out-of-pocket costs
- Input referrals and notify patients of any issues or rescheduling needs
- Perform quality control checks on patient documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
