About The Position

Las Vegas Urology is seeking an Eligibility Specialist to help provide patients with a smooth experience. The role verifies insurance benefits, processes referrals, communicates patient financial responsibility, and supports front office staff. It also includes checking physician schedules, maintaining accurate patient documentation, and protecting confidential information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two to three years of experience in insurance verification, authorizations, or claims.
• Two years of medical authorization experience; clinic experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare and managed care.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits for new and existing patients.
• Check daily physician schedules and communicate patients’ out-of-pocket costs.
• Input referrals and notify patients of issues or rescheduling needs.
• Perform quality control checks on patient documentation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Support front office staff in communicating patient responsibility.
