Monitors offender Medicaid coverage status to track and facilitate offender Medicaid enrollment, resolve incorrect enrollment and provide information to offenders and institutional staff in order to ensure the Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) provides cost effective and adequate offender health care. Reviewing data required for proper management of offender Medicaid coverage, identifying inmates who need Medicaid coverage and facilitating enrollment of inmates in Medicaid via support to the institutions and direct application submission, submitting required coverage updates to the Department of Medical Assistance Services' (DMAS) Central Processing Unit (CPU), and data collection for reporting purposes. Candidate must be able to manage the flow of communication, records and files to support Medicaid application and corrections submissions. Ability to complete assigned tasks and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Review CORIS, hospital reports, and reports sent in from DMAS/Conduent to identify offender Medicaid coverage. Serve as the primary contact for offender enrollment questions with the DMAS CPU.
