About The Position
This is a full-time, hourly Elevator Worker position in Hooker (Panhandle), Oklahoma. Potential assignments include dumping and loading railcars and trucks, operating a grain dryer, assisting with grain handling, general housekeeping, and general maintenance as needed. The position is on-site.
Requirements
- Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero-injury culture.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license is required for positions in specific regions.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged standing and sitting; working in confined spaces and at heights; bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs and ladders; working in heat, cold, dust, and other conditions; moving up to 50 pounds; and wearing a respirator.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends if needed.
- Ability to work near or around dry or liquid fertilizers.
- Ability to operate power industrial equipment.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Ability to maintain a professional image and a positive, respectful attitude.
Nice To Haves
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, payloaders, skid steers, and mini excavators.
- Barge loading, deck handing, and ability to work near or on water for Barge/Terminal locations.
Responsibilities
- Dump and load railcars and trucks.
- Operate a grain dryer.
- Assist with grain handling.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Perform general maintenance as needed.
- Follow company safety procedures and uphold ADM’s Code of Conduct.
- Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
- Work independently and as part of a team as needed.
