About The Position

The YMCA of the Rockies 2027 Elevate Gap Program Spring 2027 Semester is an opportunity for individuals aged 18-23, who are high school graduates seeking real-world experience or college students looking for personal and professional growth in the Guest Services industry. This program offers a blend of paid work in guest services (housekeeping/food service), immersive outdoor adventures, team activities, personal development workshops, and reflection. Participants will work alongside seasoned staff, build leadership skills, discover a sense of purpose through service projects, forge relationships, and learn outdoor skills. The program aims to foster greater confidence, self-awareness, and purpose in participants.

Responsibilities

• Work in guest services (housekeeping/food service departments)
• Build leadership skills through workshops
• Discover a greater sense of purpose through service projects
• Learn outdoor skills through hiking, backpacking, and a multi-day trip
• Participate in weekly Elevate program activity days
• Participate in workshops to learn and understand personal superpowers
• Learn about potential career paths that fit personality and life goals
• Experience outdoor recreation in beautiful Colorado
• Challenge yourself on a multi-day group trip

Benefits

• Paid seasonal employment
• Work a minimum of 32 hours per week
• Paid rate of Colorado minimum wage
• On-site living in staff dormitories (Rocky Mountain Living Package - RMLP)
• RMLP includes shared dormitory rooms, spacious lobbies, three buffet-style meals per day, free wi-fi, access to all staff activities
