About The Position

We are seeking dedicated educators for various grade levels throughout the West Valley, including a Kindergarten teacher for our Phoenix campus. As a General Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education by motivating students to achieve academic excellence. You will provide direct instruction using an accelerated, back-to-basics curriculum including Spalding (reading & writing) and enVision Math.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain.
Must pass a criminal history background check.

Nice To Haves

A current teaching certificate from within the state position is located.

Responsibilities

Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through a variety of activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth necessary for primary school success.
Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.
Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
Participate in training and staff meetings.
Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating meetings as needed.
Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments.
Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives.
Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required.
Participate in events outside of normal hours.
Other duties as assigned.
