About The Position

Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Elementary Teacher to provide personalized, one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor instruction to students’ individual needs and learning styles, using a gradual-release approach to help them build confidence and achieve academic mastery. The role emphasizes supporting and inspiring students without requiring teachers to plan lessons, hold parent conferences, or complete extensive grading. Professional development opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a subject area, such as English, Social Studies, History, Government, or Economics.
• Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
• Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and learning management software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, where applicable, and pass a federal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Orton-Gillingham training.
• Teaching certification; noted as preferred but not required.
• Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
• Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
