About The Position

Under the direction of the site Principal, the Elementary Teacher creates a flexible elementary-grade program and a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth. The teacher establishes effective rapport with pupils and motivates them to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for a strong foundation in upper elementary grades, in accordance with each pupil’s ability. The teacher also establishes good relationships with parents and other staff members.

Requirements

Be physically, mentally, emotionally, and morally fit to undertake responsibilities involving the health, safety, and welfare of children.
Successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination and be free of communicable diseases.
Possess a valid California teaching credential with elementary-level authorizations.
Hold an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university, including all courses needed to meet credential requirements.
Successfully complete student teaching or an internship program, or have two years of full-time elementary classroom teaching experience.
Provide favorable recommendations from student-teaching supervisors and/or other professionals who have observed the teacher’s character, scholastic attainment, and/or classroom performance.
Submit a cover letter, current resume, transcripts, credential with authorizations, test scores, and three current supervisory letters of recommendation.
