About The Position

AnthroMed Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of our trusted school partners in Chestertown, Maryland for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an exciting opportunity for an SLP with an interest in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to support elementary students and help foster meaningful communication skills. You'll join a small, close-knit district that values collaboration and teamwork. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active Maryland SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
  • Interest or experience working with AAC is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary students
  • Conduct evaluations and assess speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Support students using AAC systems and devices
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and team planning
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA and Maryland state regulations
