About The Position
This position is for an Elementary Special Education Teacher for Extended School Year Services. The role involves sustaining IEP-related skills achieved during the regular school year by continuing to implement school year instructional methodologies, adhering to Rhode Island Department of Education criteria. The position is for a fixed term during the summer.
Requirements
- Rhode Island Certification in Special Education (Gr. K-8) preferred; or RI Certification in Elementary Education or Secondary English/Math with Middle School Endorsement.
- Knowledge of Grade Level/Span Expectations in areas of regression/recoupment intervention instruction.
- Prior experience with specified age group including students with disabilities in an integrated class setting.
- Evidence of using teaching strategies that will address the unique needs of each student.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the above general duties evidenced by course work and teaching experience.
Nice To Haves
- Rhode Island Certification in Special Education (Gr. K-8) preferred
