About The Position

Alden Elementary School is seeking a highly qualified, certified Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year for our language-based classroom. Alden School is a grades 3, 4, 5 school comprised of 620 students and 115 dedicated staff members.

Requirements

  • Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with SEI Endorsement: Teachers of Students with Moderate Disabilities (Prk-8)
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited college or university
  • Experience with IEP development and data collection
  • Management skills that support students social emotional learning
  • Instruction and classroom management skills that support students' access to the general education curriculum content by providing specially designed instruction
  • Collaboration with general education teachers to deliver universally designed instruction to all learners
  • Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners in an elementary setting
  • Experience in the adaptation and modification of curriculum and assessments
  • Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks across varied subjects
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
