About The Position

Orchard Farm School District is seeking a School Improvement Program Coordinator to join our team at both Two Rivers Elementary and Orchard Farm Elementary! Our district mission is to empower each learner to excel in diverse communities. The School Improvement Program Paraprofessional works with our elementary school students and staff to provide social, physical, and academic support and/or supervision to our students who may require time outside the general education classroom for various reasons. We are looking for two (2) team members who are strong in relationship building with students and staff and can provide a structured environment for students who may be working through challenging situations.

Requirements

60 credit hours from an accredited college/university or higher
Missouri Substitute Certificate (must be able to obtain within 30 days of acceptance of offer)
Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner
Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
Ability to follow written and oral communication
Ability to problem solve

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree preferred
Valid 9-12 Missouri Teaching Certificate preferred
3 Letters of Recommendation (preferred)

Responsibilities

Assist in managing the behavior of students
Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students
Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law
Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and special events when requested by administration
Help supervise arrival and departure of students, and provide supervision and support in multiple settings throughout the school day
Follow instructions from teachers and administrators
