About The Position

The Fuller Academy, part of The Fuller Center, is seeking Full-Time 1st Grade Lead Teacher and Full-Time 3rd Grade Lead Teacher positions due to campus expansion. These roles involve planning and implementing an instructional program aligned with organizational and district philosophies, goals, and effective teaching strategies. The Lead Teacher provides day-to-day educational leadership and supervision, ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and student growth.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Elementary Education required.
Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Elementary Education (K–6) required/preferred.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience teaching 1st or 3rd grade.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional documents in English.
Proficiency in typing reports, entering data, and utilizing educational technology platforms.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Multilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
Demonstrated sensitivity to the socioeconomic characteristics and diverse backgrounds of the student population.

Responsibilities

Actively supervise students at all times to maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
Develop, review, and execute daily lesson plans using provided curriculum aligned with Florida Elementary Education Standards.
Integrate technology into classroom instruction using best practices to promote effective learning.
Arrange classrooms into distinctive learning centers and ensure all equipment is functioning properly daily.
Conduct initial screenings, periodic assessments, and ongoing portfolio assessments to track student development and create individual education plans.
Monitor classroom, meal, snack, restroom, and playground activities; ensure students with special dietary needs receive proper meals.
Maintain accurate daily attendance, meal counts, and required manual/computerized record-keeping.
Partner with Family Support staff to identify student needs, manage challenging behaviors, conduct health checks, and report concerns or suspected abuse/neglect.
Foster parent and family engagement through regular communication (conferences, written updates, calls), volunteer opportunities, and classroom activities.
Attend and participate in required professional development workshops, staff meetings, and interdisciplinary staffing sessions.
Perform First Aid and CPR as needed, and carry out other related duties as assigned.
