Elementary School Student Aide

About The Position
The Elementary School Student Aide assists teachers by tutoring students in literacy and math programs. The aide may also help with lunch hours, after-school care, bus duty, and—if interested—breakfast buddies. The position is based at Lafayette Upper Elementary, approximately a five-minute drive from the UMW campus, and students must provide their own transportation.
Requirements
- Must be approved by the Office of Financial Aid.
- Must have good organizational and communication skills.
- Must be patient, friendly, and able to multitask.
- Must have at least a 2.0 GPA.
- Must be eligible for Federal Work Study and have completed a FAFSA.
- Must be a current UMW student.
- Must provide their own transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Background working with children is preferred.
- A resume is preferred but not required.
