About The Position
Soledad Unified School District is hiring an Elementary School Principal for the 2026/2027 school year. The district’s vision is for students to achieve high levels of literacy, develop effective thinking and organizational skills, demonstrate personal and civic responsibility, work independently and cooperatively, appreciate diverse cultures, and build meaningful relationships. The district’s mission includes improving student achievement; employing and retaining highly qualified, dedicated, and effective staff; providing a rigorous, engaging educational program aligned with district and state standards; maintaining safe, well-equipped facilities and a caring, respectful learning environment; and building partnerships with community, business, government, and postsecondary organizations. The anticipated start date is negotiable. Applications are accepted until the position is filled, and screening is ongoing. DOJ/FBI clearance and TB test clearance are required upon hire. The annual salary range is $124,648–$164,029. In addition to salary, the district contributes $22,211.04–$58,257.72 annually toward full family medical benefits, for a combined salary range of $146,859.04–$222,286.72.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in education administration.
- Valid California teaching credential.
- Valid California administrative credential, including an Administrative Services Credential.
- Four years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience.
- Two years of building-level administrative experience.
- Submit a letter of introduction, letter(s) of reference dated within the last 12 months, and a resume.
- DOJ/FBI clearance and TB test clearance upon hire.
