About The Position
The Elementary Reading Interventionist position at EMERY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is responsible for developing and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning. This role requires regular and reliable attendance. The position involves managing emotional control under stress and includes physical demands such as frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing, as well as moving classroom equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university
- Valid Texas Certification for EC-6 or EC-4 (Standard, Provisional, or One-Year certificates only; ACP candidates on a probationary certificate do not qualify)
- Strong experience with at-risk / small group reading intervention and instruction
- Excellent classroom management
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as an elementary classroom teacher preferred
