Davidson Charter Academy is seeking a passionate and qualified Elementary Physical Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, a commitment to student success, and the ability to create engaging, effective physical education lessons aligned with North Carolina state standards. This individual will help students develop physical skills, healthy habits, teamwork, confidence, and a positive attitude toward lifelong fitness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
• NC Educator’s License or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with state standards
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
• Passion for promoting physical activity, wellness, teamwork, and healthy habits among elementary students

Responsibilities

• Help students develop physical skills, healthy habits, teamwork, confidence, and a positive attitude toward lifelong fitness.
• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with state standards.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
• Promote physical activity, wellness, teamwork, and healthy habits among elementary students.

Benefits

• Salary based on the NC Certified Teacher Salary Schedule, years of experience, and licensure status
• Additional 3% supplement, paid in December and June
• Up to 6% employer 403(b) contribution match
• 10 PTO days per year, with unused PTO rolling over until maximum accrual is reached
