About The Position

Partnership Academy (PA) is seeking an Elementary Multilingual Learner (ML) Teacher to support the development and implementation of effective systems, routines, and instructional practices for multilingual learners. This role involves creating a developmentally appropriate and academically rigorous program for these students. The ML Teacher will collaborate closely with General Education teachers, Interventionists, Special Education co-teachers, other ML teachers, and school leadership to ensure students receive the necessary language development and academic support. The position offers a salary range of $43,641 - $83,599, based on education and experience, with a timeline starting October 2026 for the 2026-2027 School Year and beyond. Responsibilities

  • Determine eligibility and appropriate ML services by reviewing Home Language Questionnaires, cumulative records, WIDA Screener and WIDA ACCESS results, standardized assessment data, and other relevant student information.
  • Develop and maintain Individual Language Profiles (ILPs) and required ML documentation.
  • Collaborate with General Education teachers through co-planning, co-teaching, consultation, and instructional support.
  • Adapt and differentiate grade-level lessons, assessments, assignments, and learning activities to provide appropriate language access while maintaining grade-level rigor.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality language instruction in small groups and whole class using evidence-based instructional strategies, activities, materials, and resources that address students' English language development needs and grade-level expectations.
  • Provide appropriate scaffolds and language supports that increase students' access to grade-level content while building their ability to participate and complete academic tasks with increasing independence.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments.
  • Use data and progress-monitoring tools, including Ellevation, WIDA MODEL, WIDA ACCESS, and other approved assessments, to evaluate student growth and adjust instruction, interventions, groupings, and services as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, district, and school requirements related to the identification, instruction, assessment, documentation, and progress monitoring of multilingual learners.
  • Complete all time sensitive work efficiently and promptly.
  • Establish and maintain strong communication with families regarding ML services, student progress, academic goals, and opportunities to support student success.
  • Develop positive relationships with students and create a calm, inclusive, culturally responsive, and student-centered learning environment that promotes academic achievement, language development, confidence, and independence.
  • Advocate for multilingual learners by collaborating with staff and families to identify and reduce linguistic, cultural, and academic barriers that may limit students' access to educational opportunities.
  • Collaborate as a member of the ML and schoolwide instructional team, contributing to problem-solving, data analysis, professional learning, program development, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to changing student and program needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that are consistent with the responsibilities and needs of the ML program and school.
