Elementary Math Instructor
About The Position
Join Our AoPS Academy as a Elementary Math Instructor! Are you passionate about math? Do you love inspiring young minds in an engaging, collaborative classroom setting? We have the perfect opportunity for you! The Part-Time Instructor will teach engaging curriculum using company-created materials for advanced students in small classes. The role involves actively engaging students, managing classrooms of up to 16 students, grading and providing feedback on assignments, and building relationships with students and families to make a lasting impact on their educational journey. The goal is to encourage a love for learning and critical thinking in math.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- Candidates must be located in San Diego, CA or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.
Nice To Haves
- A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related or educational field is strongly preferred
- Strong content knowledge in math
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred
- Experience teaching or tutoring students
Responsibilities
- Teach Engaging Curriculum: Use company-created curriculum and materials designed for advanced students to lead small classes in math
