About The Position

West Woods Upper Elementary is seeking a Grade 6 classroom teacher starting August 2026. The Farmington Public School District is seeking an outstanding educator for a Grade 6 Upper Elementary vacancy. Farmington is a suburban Hartford community with a strong record of educational excellence. Teachers provide effective instruction to ensure that students learn core content knowledge and skills as well as the competencies and dispositions essential for success in college, career readiness, and citizenship. Teachers attend to the development of the whole child and adjust instruction to meet psychological, social and intellectual needs. Requirements

Must hold or be eligible for State of CT certification in Elementary 1-6 (305 or similar)
Must hold or be eligible for CT State Teaching Certification in Elementary Education (305 or similar)
