Catholic Part-Time Elementary Classroom Assistant
About The Position
Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking a part-time Catholic assistant for a classical and Catholic elementary classroom. This position is for 13 hours per week during the 2026-27 academic year in Plano, TX. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required, as all necessary training will be provided. The academy offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Childcare/nursery is provided during working hours. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be provided, and tutors will be trained in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received appropriate sacraments. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching. Tutors must be willing to prepare for classes at home and teach in a highly structured environment. A mandatory training day is required on August 11, 12, or 13, 2026 (TBD) from 8 am to 5 pm, for which no childcare will be provided, though nursing infants are welcome.
Requirements
- Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.

- Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
- Must complete a background check.
- Must complete RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
- Must be available to attend 1 mandatory training day on August 11, 12, or 13, 2026 (TBD) (8am-5pm).
