About The Position

The Arlington Public Schools is seeking an instrumental (Brass) teacher with experience working with elementary-age children to provide group instrumental music instruction to students in grades 4 and 5 during the regular school day (AM). This role focuses on teaching trumpet, trombone, horn, tuba, baritone, and euphonium. The position is 0.3 FTE. Requirements

Experience teaching elementary-age children is required.
Demonstrate expertise on their instruments.
Strong background in and knowledge of materials, methods, and the pedagogy associated with their instruments.
Experience teaching elementary students in a large group setting is essential.
Exhibit dynamic interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and engage elementary-age children.
Bachelor’s degree in applied music or music education is required.

MA DESE licensure is preferred.
