About The Position

Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking passionate educators to join their team. As an Art Teacher, you will guide students in creating art projects inspired by significant artists and styles, while also instructing them on art vocabulary, history, and elements. As a Spanish Language Teacher, you will teach Spanish and help students develop fluency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The role involves creating an engaging learning environment, adapting instructional resources, promoting student growth, assessing curriculum needs, maintaining records, communicating effectively with stakeholders, collaborating with peers, modeling professional conduct, ensuring continuous student progress, participating in training, meeting professional obligations, evaluating student capabilities, celebrating achievements, and encouraging students to uphold school values and model good character. The position also involves physical activity such as light lifting, sitting, standing, moving around campus, and traveling between campuses, as well as participating in events outside of normal hours. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Pass a criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

  • Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
  • Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through a variety of activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school success.
  • Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.
  • Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
  • Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
  • Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
  • Participate in training and staff meetings.
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules and coordinating meetings as needed.
  • Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments.
  • Encourage students to uphold school values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives.
  • Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required.
  • Participate in events outside of normal hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.
