The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion MultiPurpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 15 years related experience
  • Demonstrates advanced Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project and Microsoft Suite knowledge or Substitution of other scheduling softwares for Primavera P6/Microsoft Project excepted (e.g. Solumina, Maximo and Milestone Professional)
  • Must be able to accurately communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident/Green Card holder of the United States is required.
  • Must comply with all “drug free workplace” requirements as mandated by directives issued by the appropriate federal contracting officer and the company, which requires drug testing for use of illegal drugs by employees in sensitive positions.

Responsibilities

  • Manages integrated schedules for element and or flight (facility) projects
  • Interfaces with flow management, project managers, engineering, shop, area integrators and other planners and schedulers, to update the daily schedules and respond to changes and issues
  • Participates in daily telecoms and/or scheduling meetings, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities which pertain to operations support
  • Identifies basics/potential scheduling delays, facilitates remedial action, evaluates performance, and prepares progress reports
  • Appropriately resource loads work activities
  • Performs work control management, as needed
