Requirements

Associate's degree in allied health (Required)
EKG competency demonstrated within 6 months of hire date.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or CVT/CVIT or Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS)
BLS certification upon hire, ACLS certification preferred.
Radiologic Technologist Certified by the state of Ohio to practice and administer radiation
Understanding of aseptic technique
Must possess strong independent assessment, judgement, and decision-making skills.

2+ years of EP / Cath Lab experience

Responsibilities

Monitors patients during procedures to assess their vital signs and respond to complications or changes in condition.
Documents all procedures accurately and thoroughly in the patient’s medical records, including accurately capturing procedural charges.
Provides for patient, family, and staff comfort and care prior to, during, and after a procedure. Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergent situations.
Maintain a sterile field during procedures by adhering to stringent infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly handled or discarded.
Assist physicians in performing imaging procedures on patients with the use of specialized equipment providing support and guidance as needed.
Assist in patient care pre, intra, and post procedure
Accountable for satisfactory attendance.
Fiscally responsible including supply management and timekeeping activities.
Compliant with daily equipment checks and patient safety protocols.
Accountable for radiation safety including monitoring radiation exposure levels.
Adheres to all hospital policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations.
