About The Position

The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible and accountable for providing radiologic services at appropriate levels to patients in all settings served by the Cath Lab. The position has a set schedule of Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. The posting states no call is required, while the physical-demands section says the employee must provide on-call coverage after hours, on holidays, and on weekends.

Requirements

• Completion of a course at an accredited school for Registered Radiologic Technologists.
• At least 1 year of related work experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Arkansas Department of Health Radiology License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, solve problems, and make decisions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist for up to or exceeding 8 to 12 hours during shifts.
• Ability to occasionally lift equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to push a wheelchair weighing more than 150 pounds with a patient and equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift patients with assistance when they weigh 125 pounds or more.
• Ability to spend 8 or more hours in front of a computer, monitor, or similar screen using a keyboard and/or mouse.
• Ability to handle critical and highly stressful situations efficiently and calmly.
• Keen hearing and visual acuity to respond to changing patient situations and equipment alarms.
• Ability to work the regularly assigned shift.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in cardiac procedures, ECG interpretation, special procedures, a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), or Electrophysiology (EP).

Responsibilities

• Provide radiologic services to patients in all settings served by the Cath Lab.
• Provide on-call coverage to staff after hours, holidays, and weekends, as stated in the physical-demands section.
• Respond quickly in emergencies, including CPR situations and obtaining equipment.
