About The Position

The BAE Systems Team in Colorado Springs, CO is looking to add a Systems Engineer to the team! This position supports an Electronic Warfare (EW) sustainment program. This person will work closely with a cross-functional team to support integrated software testing of operational EW systems and EW training systems. Primary tasks will include developing and performing detailed test procedures, deficiency reporting, and requirements management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) field, in lieu of a degree 10 years of experience may be substituted.
Currently possess a TS/SCI Clearance
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Working knowledge of Radio Frequency communications and Electronic Warfare

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.
Familiarity with Linux CLI and Shell scripting.
Familiarity with Python
Understand containerization concepts to support software development and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

Identify, document, and report discrepancies and deficiencies discovered during the testing process.
Use tools such as DOORS, Agile PLM, Atlassian Tools, AutoCAD, and Creo to support various engineering tasks.
Conduct software testing to identify and resolve issues, ensuring software performance and reliability.
Collaborate with other engineers to develop testable requirements that meet project specifications.
Develop and implement methods of verification to ensure thorough testing and validation of systems and components. Apply methods and traceability through Requirement Verification Traceability Matrices.
Utilize Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) to support product testing and diagnostics
