The Electronics Technician Maintenance III performs advanced depot-level troubleshooting, testing, alignment, modification, overhaul, and component-level repair of complex analog and digital electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, circuit cards, power supplies, and associated test equipment. The position independently analyzes complex or unusual failures using Government-furnished software, schematics, drawings, procedures, specifications, automated test stations, manual test stations, and bench-top diagnostic equipment. Responsibilities include repairing and rebuilding electronic components, programming or maintaining automated test equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting equipment calibration control. As a senior technical contributor, the Electronics Technician Maintenance III collaborates with engineers and other qualified personnel on troubleshooting, repair-process improvement, equipment modification, prototyping, and production support. The position may provide technical guidance to less-experienced technicians but does not have formal supervisory authority unless separately designated.
