About The Position

The VPIM Electronics Technician II is required to plan, perform and inspect all aspects of installation and integration of ECM, mobile video, tactical and non-tactical radio systems and personnel tracking into AV’s. This will include modification of the AV’s (power and cooling systems) to perform fully with the installed systems. Ensures compliance with established configuration management designs and manuals. Inspects, repairs and services the systems to support pre-mission checks as well as in support of the preventive maintenance program. Conducts quality assurance inspections of all work performed by his work team and ensures non-conformance and faults are corrected. Deploys to support SECSTATE domestic operations as directed. Deploys to support PTB OCONUS Operations as needed. Report through management systems equipment, supplies and material used as well as work order information to include labor.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain DOD or DOS TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance.
  • Five years of relevant technical experience in electronics and/or radios systems.
  • Five years of experience with electronic systems integration into armored vehicles.
  • Good communications skills (oral and written).
  • Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner.
  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with no supervision.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
  • Experience with MAXIMO or other asset management system.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ECM installation training a plus.
