About The Position

BSEt, a subsidiary of Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX), is recruiting for an Electronics Technician, Maintenance I - WISS/Video Teleconference Technician (VTC) Operator. This position is located at Eielson AFB, AK, and is a Full Time position reporting to the Site Manager. This role provides briefing and debriefing support for exercise and daily flying training operations, including setting up audio, video, and computer systems for the Main Briefing Room (MBRs), Commanders Conference Room (CCR), and other VTC facilities. It also involves setting up audiovisual and VTC systems for Mission Planning Cells (MPCs) and flight brief/debriefs. The position is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining secure and non-secure VTC networks and training Government personnel on VTC system operations. Additionally, this role operates and maintains the Weapon Impact Scoring System (WISS) for scoring inert bomb impacts and performs video production of aircraft/threat engagements and bomb impacts. This is a Department of Labor (DOL), Service Contract Act (SCA) position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • A minimum of Three years’ experience is required, including maintenance or equivalent related expertise in the repair of electronic systems.
  • Must possess or be capable of obtaining tower climbing/High Angle rescue certification.
  • Must have knowledge of Video Teleconference (VTC) systems, computer systems.
  • Must be able to install, configure, repair or replace VTC equipment to include video camera, video monitors, and front/rear projection systems.
  • Must understand network file storage systems and networking fundamentals.
  • Must be experienced with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have sound knowledge of electrical circuits, and digital video systems.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of video teleconferencing equipment principles in determining equipment malfunctions, apply skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluate performance and reliability, and recommend changes in equipment or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Must understand radio transmission fundamentals.
  • US Citizen.
  • Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required.
  • Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license and meet all requirements for a flight-line driving permit.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in a technical field is highly desired or the equivalent Vocational, or military training.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up, maintains, and runs Communications and VTC equipment.
  • Records and scores inert bomb impacts on the Blair Lakes, Oklahoma, Yukon ranges.
  • Maintains equipment at target ranges, including video cameras, encoders, multiplexers, and radio transmission equipment.
  • Maintains power production and storage equipment, including Solar, wind and thermal electric generators and battery banks.
  • Coordinates tests of the systems and participates in trial runs of new and revised systems between ECTS JPARC locations, Eielson and Elmendorf Air Force Bases.
  • Maintains COMSEC accounts and related equipment.
  • Provides briefing and debriefing support and/or capabilities to meet both exercise and daily flying training operations.
  • Provides necessary operations support for both the Main Briefing Room (MBRs) and Commanders Conference Room (CCR) and other VTC facilities.
  • Sets up all audio, video, computers, as assigned.
  • Provides set-up for Mission Planning Cells (MPCs) and all flight brief/debrief audiovisual and VTC systems.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains secure and non-secure VTC networks within assigned facilities.
  • Trains Government personnel as requested in the operations of the VTC system.
  • Operates and maintains the Weapon Impact Scoring System (WISS) responsible for spotting and scoring inert bomb impacts.
  • Responsible for video production of aircraft / threat engagements and bomb impacts.
