About The Position

This role focuses on the daily execution of electronic assembly tasks, with an emphasis on surface mount technology. Responsibilities include performing depanel methods, testing, EOL programming, and packaging according to established standards. The technician will operate an AOI machine, identify electronic components, and conduct visual inspections of SMT assemblies. Familiarity with hand tools is essential, as is the ability to maintain accurate job tracking. The position also involves skill development, including training co-workers and performing basic tasks of an Electronics Technician C level. Continuous improvement is encouraged through problem-solving and participation in PDCA teams, while adhering to 5s standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to identify electronics components
  • Ability to complete visual inspection of SMT assemblies
  • Ability to visually identify AOI false calls and defects
  • Must be familiar with and able to use hand tools, screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc.
  • Ability to maintain accurate Job-By-Job Chart tracking
  • Ability to read and understand basic Process Sheet and Assembly drawings

Nice To Haves

  • Soldering knowledge and skills
  • Working knowledge of IPC standards (Certification a plus)
  • Prior electronics experience preferred, but will train motivated candidates!
