Test Technician - Level 1 (1st shift)
About The Position
As a Test Technician - Level 1 here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in supporting the testing and validation of aerospace products and systems. Your work will ensure that our products meet stringent quality and performance standards, contributing to the safety and reliability of aerospace technologies. You will report directly to our Test Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Eatontown, NJ location on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact on the overall quality assurance process by performing detailed testing procedures, documenting results accurately, and collaborating with engineering teams to identify and resolve issues. Your contributions will help maintain Honeywell’s reputation for excellence in aerospace innovation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in performing testing and validation activities in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Strong knowledge of test equipment operation, calibration, and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures accurately.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in using data recording and reporting tools to document test results.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Aerospace Technology, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in aerospace testing or related technical roles.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across functions.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex tests on aerospace components and systems following established procedures.
- Document test results accurately and report any deviations or failures to the engineering team.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve product issues.
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards during testing operations.
