About The Position

As an Electronics Technician 1, you will support troubleshooting, repair, reconditioning, and testing of FAA electronic hardware. This entry-level role fits a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented candidate who can learn established processes, follow technical instructions, and work with senior technicians to meet production and quality goals. Prior electronics experience is helpful, but not required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical or electrical aptitude and willingness to learn electronic repair processes.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and learn to read drawings or schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Electronics Technician, with a focus on hardware repair.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze electronic hardware issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Perform repairs and reconditioning of FAA electronic hardware to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
  • Conduct thorough testing of repaired equipment to ensure it meets FAA and Leidos standards and specifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, including troubleshooting steps, parts used, and testing results.
  • Work closely with a diverse team of technicians to address complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Adhere to all Leidos regulations and guidelines throughout the repair and reconditioning process.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the electronics repair department.
