About The Position
Electric Boat is seeking an Electronics Mechanic to work in the Machine Shop for the Facilities Department. The applicant must have general industrial electrical knowledge and be able to support the below requirements while adhering to all OSHA regulations, company electrical safety training practices and guidelines, NEC codes including NFPA 70E.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial and commercial electrical field including troubleshooting and repairing all types of control systems.
- 5+ years of experience with motor control, PLC, and CNC machine troubleshooting.
Nice To Haves
- Trade or Technical Degree Program Certificate is desired.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair control systems including servo control systems and PLC type systems.
- Possess mechanical and electrical knowledge of components relative to automation.
- Read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic blueprints.
- Perform minor installation of temporary wiring systems.
- Work with outside contractors and machinery equipment vendors.
- Support weekend work and emergency situations.
