About The Position

This position is with the Directorate of Industrial Operations located at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Duties include supervising the testing, troubleshooting, and final adjustment of subassemblies, assemblies, and components used in electronic systems. The role involves planning, coordinating, and directing work through subordinate supervisors and/or leaders, and directly through subordinate workers within organizational segments or groups. The supervisor will determine the time and priority for operations within the work unit and supervise subordinates at TDY fielding locations both CONUS and OCONUS.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead or supervise as an Electronics Mechanic Supervisor.
  • Ability to perform common supervisory duties by determining how many assignments can be done concurrently, which ones must be delayed, and the number and types of employees needed, considering skills, personnel materials, and equipment available and required.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ingenuity (Ability to Suggest and Apply New Methods).
  • Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
  • Knowledge of the theory of electronics troubleshooting (Electronic Equipment).
  • Ability to use test equipment for electronics.
  • Must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in written application materials, sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
  • Must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration (for male applicants born after December 31, 1959).
  • Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Requires a 1 year probationary period.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.

  • The incumbent may be subject to a one year Supervisory probationary period.
