Requirements

• Four years of journey level mechanical experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possession of an active Pennsylvania Class A CDL with the Air Brake restriction (L) and Manual restriction (E) removed.
• Possession of an active Class 4 or Class 7 Pennsylvania Inspection Mechanic Certification.
• One year of experience or training in the repair or maintenance of diesel engines.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

• An active CFC-12 Refrigerant Recycling Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and support mechanic training needs
• Guide troubleshooting and repairs on engines, electrical systems, and transmissions
• Monitor vehicle inspections and verify compliance with standards
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure tools and supplies are available
• Review work orders, parts usage, and time charges for accuracy
• Assist mechanics in diagnosing difficult equipment issues
