About The Position

As an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer, you will serve as a key technical contributor responsible for the design, development, and validation of advanced electronic hardware solutions that support Schneider Electric's commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. You will leverage your expertise in electronic circuit design, PCB development, signal integrity, power management, and RF technologies to deliver robust, high-performing products that meet customer and market needs. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, systems, manufacturing, quality, and mechanical engineering to ensure successful product development from concept through production. You will apply advanced engineering methodologies, simulation tools, prototyping techniques, and best practices to create innovative solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements. As a senior-level technical professional, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, support design reviews, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics hardware design and product development.
  • Strong expertise in analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics design.
  • Experience with PCB design, layout review, and hardware development processes.
  • Understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMC/EMI mitigation, and RF design principles.
  • Experience using simulation, modeling, and schematic capture tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global engineering environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with RF communication systems and wireless technologies.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as UL, IEC, FCC, CE, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), risk assessments, and reliability engineering.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) and configuration management tools.
  • Exposure to industrial automation, energy management, power conversion, or connected products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic hardware systems, including analog, digital, mixed-signal, power management, and RF circuitry.
  • Create and maintain detailed hardware documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, design specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering change documentation.
  • Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and RF performance throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Perform circuit simulation, modeling, analysis, and validation using industry-standard engineering tools.
  • Lead hardware prototyping, bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, systems, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Participate in architecture development, design reviews, risk assessments, and technical decision-making processes.
  • Develop and execute verification and validation plans to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Support manufacturing and industrialization teams by optimizing designs for cost, quality, manufacturability, and scalability.
  • Investigate product issues identified during development, testing, production, or field deployment and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in electronics hardware design.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers by providing technical guidance, reviewing design work, and supporting professional development.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, engineering standards, and best practices across the organization.
