About The Position

Advanced Technology & Research Corporation (ATRCORP) is seeking a full-time permanent Electronics Engineer to join their Engineering Services Division. This role will be based at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Carderock, MD. The engineer will be part of a design, test, and evaluation team, with responsibilities including data acquisition, software development, computer networks, and underwater electronic system designs. The position involves developing project and test plans, conducting land/ocean-based field tests, writing test reports, and presenting findings to management and sponsors.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years of electronics hardware development experience
  • Experience in analog & digital circuit design
  • Experience with software tools such as Python, LabVIEW, C/C++, or MATLAB
  • Understanding of analog controls and signal conditioning amplifier design
  • Understanding of circuit noise analysis and noise mitigation techniques
  • Experience simulating amplifier circuits using SPICE or similar tools
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout experience (Altium, Cadence)
  • Knowledge of best practices with regards to hardware development, layout and circuit design
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, time-domain reflectometers, DVM, function generators, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus
  • Current successful background investigation completion is a plus

Responsibilities
