About The Position

GDIT is looking for an Electronics Engineer for our Bethesda, MD location. Perform electrical system design to include printed circuit board design and simulation (ex Altium, Eagle, LTSpice) and conduct diagnostic testing in support of troubleshooting efforts. Develop software and/or firmware to support hardware communication and testing (Matlab, Python, C, C++) Conduct routine preventative maintenance, inspection, and hardware rework on various electronic components and assemblies (Work and rework of cable assemblies, through hole and surface mount printed circuit boards). Generate, update and maintain comprehensive system documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOMs). Prepare and execute component test plans. Perform data acquisition, processing, and signal analysis to evaluate hardware performance. Conduct benchtop diagnostic testing, signal analysis, and root-cause analysis and troubleshooting on mixed-signal hardware using standard lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers). Controls and acoustics experience preferred. Ability to travel to support customer projects is desired.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline from an ABET Accredited Institution
  • 6+ years of professional experience in electronics design, testing, or hardware maintenance
  • Experience with data acquisition (DAQ) hardware and signal processing/analysis
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance
