About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer! Are you an enthusiastic individual with a strong planning background that can thrive in an exciting fast-paced dynamic environment? As a Hardware Engineer, you will support the LE2 program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM! In this dynamic role you will: Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy’s Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program. Mentor Junior engineers, interface extensively with out customers, as well as senior leadership. Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware
  • 3+ years of professional experience for this role.
  • You will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
  • Hardware development experience
  • Experience with interconnect design
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, Pspice
  • Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
  • Issue Tracking experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or other similar systems.
  • Experience leading projects teams and development efforts
  • Capability to lead a team responsible for development and test of integrate test systems, and experience as Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated an ability to lead/coordinate with small diverse teams in development of tech products.
  • Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentations
  • Experience troubleshooting System level issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of our automated test systems, including data review and trending.
  • Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.
  • Interface with suppliers, customer and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk solutions.
  • Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers.
  • Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure.
  • Ability to travel and work at alternate work sites as required, less than 25%.
