About The Position

The Electronics Assembler correctly and efficiently completes wire and cable assemblies. The role assembles wires into cables and harness systems according to schematic drawings, assembles electrical components, systems, or subsystems, and checks work for quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to regularly sit, stand, and walk.
• Ability to pass a vision exam to inspect work at close distance.
• Ability to read and understand wire diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools and perform basic math.
• Ability to effectively use all tools required for wire harness assembly.
• Keen attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read wire diagrams, blueprints, and schematics for cable assembly.
• Assemble wires into cables and harness systems according to schematic drawings.
• Wrap and tie wires at designated points to form harnesses.
• Assemble electrical components, systems, and/or subsystems.
• Use automatic and handheld wire strippers on wire ends.
• Measure wires and finished cable assemblies for quality.
• Solder parts or connections between parts.
• Solder, wrap, and coat wires to ensure proper installation.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
