Electronics Assembler (Depot)
About The Position
The Electronics Assembler supports the overhaul and repair of C4ISR systems and equipment and performs technical tasks assisting engineers with electronic systems. The role supports planning, procurement, fabrication, removal, installation, and completion of mechanical and electrical work. Tasks include equipment removal, cabling and connectorization, electrical equipment installation, equipment overhauls, fabricating and assembling electronics subassemblies, and calibration checks on electronic instruments. The assembler provides on-site installation support, updates technical documentation, and develops working knowledge of operating standards, practices, procedures, and safety procedures. The position is located in San Diego, California, requires no travel, and requires the employee to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. DoD security clearance. Compensation is $23–$32 per hour. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits enrollment from their date of hire.
Requirements
- Two years of recent C4ISR or other relevant experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation, and deinstallation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides, and ducts.
- Experience using logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes.
- Micro Miniature (2M) “C” school or IPC-A-610/620 certification.
- IPC J-STD Soldering Training Certificate.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. DoD security clearance.
- Must communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
- Must interface effectively with technical and management personnel.
Nice To Haves
- Quality Management System (QMS) experience compatible with ISO 9001:2008.
- High school diploma or equivalent is desired.
- Experience using electronics hand tools, microscopes, and soldering and de-soldering equipment.
- Experience reading assembly instructions and drawings.
Responsibilities
