About The Position

Join a team developing advanced capabilities in electronic warfare and software defined radio systems. As an FPGA Engineering Intern, you will support the design, implementation, integration, and test of HDL modules for FPGA-based solutions used in SDR platforms. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to help build and evaluate high-performance digital designs that support mission-focused RF and signal processing applications. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience with FPGA development workflows, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and contribute to real-world technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity to build foundational skills in digital design, embedded systems, and defense-related technologies while supporting meaningful work. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Requirements

  • Experience with HDL development, including VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog in professional or academic settings
  • Knowledge of digital logic design and FPGA fundamentals
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative technical team environment
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a technology field by Summer 2027
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FPGA development or simulation tools such as Vivado, ModelSim, or similar environments
  • Experience with software defined radio, digital signal processing, or wireless communications concepts
  • Experience with projects related to RF systems, signal processing, or electronic warfare
  • Experience with hardware integration, lab testing, or debug activities
  • Ability to display an interest in mission-focused engineering applications supporting national security
  • Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills
