About The Position

DPP is seeking an Electronic Technician III for a 12-month W2 contract opportunity with a client in the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry. The position is onsite in San Diego, California. The technician will assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems and equipment; troubleshoot and repair electronic components; conduct engineering tests; and document results and maintenance activities. The role requires compliance with CAT 2 Foreign Object Elimination (FOE), Foreign Object Damage (FOD), quality, safety, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards.

Requirements

Four years of related experience, or electronics training equivalent to two years of technical trade school or military technical school.
Experience troubleshooting analog and digital circuits.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with RF systems, digital/analog circuits, or embedded electronics.
Experience with component-level troubleshooting.
Experience with VOM, DVM, and similar test apparatus.
IPC-A-610 Class III Surface Mount.

Responsibilities

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems, components, and equipment.
Diagnose and repair circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic components.
Perform operational tests at environmental stress screening, vibration, and thermal levels to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Identify and isolate malfunctions down to the component level.
Conduct defined engineering tests and collect assigned data.
Accurately document test results, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Perform diagnostics and root cause analysis using oscilloscopes, multimeters, RF generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Maintain compliance with CAT 2 Foreign Object Elimination (FOE), Foreign Object Damage (FOD), safety, quality, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards.
