About The Position

The Electronic Technician III supports electronic security systems at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas, and Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma. The role performs routine maintenance, service repairs, and preventive maintenance for integrated intrusion alarm, access control, CCTV, and GBR systems. It also supports emergency repair and response, contract compliance, and program execution. The technician documents service activity and coordinates with the technical support center and Service Department, while providing product application information to Sales and Customer Service. Field installation assistance and travel between the two bases may be required.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of electronic alarm systems, sensors, and access control systems.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with electronic alarm systems, sensors, and access control systems.
• Experience using programming software associated with electronic alarm and access control systems.
• General knowledge of computer hardware and experience with Windows operating systems and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of experience; an associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology may substitute for the experience.
• Current, active Secret clearance.

• CCTV and GBR experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine systems maintenance and service repairs for integrated alarm intrusion, access control, CCTV, and GBR systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Gather field information to reproduce reported problems in a laboratory environment.
• Document service calls and preventive maintenance requirements, coordinate with the technical support center, and complete and deliver required service documentation daily to the Service Department.
• Provide Sales and Customer Service departments with information on proper product application.
• Maintain and safely care for an assigned company vehicle.
• Assist with field installations of IDS, access control, CCTV, and GBR systems as required.
• Provide emergency service capability 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, as needed, and provide on-call service as scheduled.
• Travel between McConnell AFB and Vance AFB.
