About The Position

Volt is hiring a full-time Electronic Equipment Assembler and Tester in Santa Ana, California. The role involves assembling and inspecting electronic equipment and assemblies, testing products against specifications, and supporting work-in-process inventory activities. The position pays $23.00 to $25.00 per hour; the offered rate depends on factors including education, work experience, work location, job duties, and certifications.

Requirements

2–3 years with an electronic technician background.
Minimum 3 years of experience in electronic manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Assemble materials and electrical or electronic units, systems, support structures, components, subassemblies, wiring, and casings.
Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, and reports.
Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits.
Test products to ensure they conform to specifications.
Perform manual assembly and fabricate or modify parts using shop equipment.
Populate, modify, or replace components on printed circuit board assemblies.
Join or secure parts using operations such as crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, soldering, and press fitting, with hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in enclosures and attach hardware to assemblies.
Tend and monitor test fixtures and other electronic testing fixtures and equipment.
Perform online go/no-go testing and inspection using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment to check that parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
Verify work performed by yourself and peers.
Audit kits for shortages and provide shortage status.
Perform routine cycle counts on work-in-process inventory.
Pull parts and kits from the stockroom for work in process.
