About The Position

We are looking for an additional Electromechanical Technician to strengthen our current team. To ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, and repair of electromechanical systems and equipment within the Smardt Service Center team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years mechanical or mechatronics related experience.
  • Danfoss Turbocor compressor technology.
  • Electrical installation/testing.
  • Electronics installation/testing.
  • Mechanical assembly/disassembly, and evaluation.
  • Metrology
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
  • Attention to detail
  • Mechanical and electrical skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work alone
  • Microsoft Office expertise to facilitate regular reporting and general computer savvy
  • Good written/verbal communication skills (English/French)
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a highly dynamic environment
  • Must be able to lift packages up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to speak French with our team in Quebec
  • In a multicultural and international environment, a good command of English is necessary to interact with part of our clientele and international team.

Responsibilities

  • Verify dimensions of incoming parts and finished goods using precision instruments to ensure specification compliance.
  • Inspect components for surface defects and structural integrity to prevent substandard parts from entering production.
  • Validate the performance of finished goods through rigorous electrical and mechanical testing before shipment.
  • Apply Lean methodology and 5S principles to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe workspace.
  • Analyze fault logs and conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) to identify and eliminate recurring quality issues.
  • Master Danfoss technical documentation and blueprints to ensure assembly sequences meet strict quality standards.
  • Propose improvements to tooling and procedures to reduce waste, optimize takt times, and increase throughput.
  • Maintain detailed quality reports and service histories to track evaluation results and component reliability.
